Ever since inception in January 1/11/2003, ORDO has always had the agenda of providing clean and safe water throughout all the regions of Somalia because of our zeal to provide this essential human need ORDO did various assessments in various regions, including Bay, Bakool, Banadir, M/Shabelle and L/Shabelle, with our main targets being the IDPs who couldn’t access water, hygiene and sanitation information.

In 2012 ORDO become the first humanitarian organization to step in Heliwa & Yaqshid district that was feaced by many due to ruthless leadership and unending wars.

We implemented WASH programs there which were a solution to the problem of the hglobally this include designing of CLTS.

To date ORDO has constructed 300 wells rehabilitated 50 wells provided was to over 100 IDP camps. And distribution of hygiene kits to 5000 beneficiaries in all the regions of Somalia.

WASH OBJECTIVES

1. To improve water accessibility and distribution mechanism to the society.
2. Positively change sanitation & hygiene behaviors of the society.
3. Design projects that will use modern approaches like CLTS.
4. Conduct assessment and repeat to cluster as among of early response and preparedness
5. To provide clean latrines washing facilities
