Mine Action Program

In April 2015 ORDO had been trained some staffs that supported by UNMAS which includes Mine Risk Education (MRE). The ORDO staffs well completed and taken certificates. ORDO planned Landmines and other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) continue to pose a threat to civilians and communities even after a conflict has ended and the warring parties have signed peace agreements. ORDO it focuses on mine action and other programs related mine action, armed violence in Middle Shebelle and Hiiraan regions. The majority of ORDO’s staff is locally hired in each of the regions it works in. This helps to ensure ownership, participation and generation of locally-based solutions to address the problems and legacies of conflict, war and armed violence.
